Dakota County Nitrate Study

For the past couple of years there has been a consistent concern of high levels of Nitrate in private water wells in Dakota County. According to the Minnesota Department of Health, water with a nitrate concentration of more than 10 milligrams per liter is unsafe for infants and pregnant women to drink. To explain how an issue like this comes to light, KDWA spoke with Ground Water Protection Supervisor for Dakota County ,Jill Trescott.
