The Hastings City Council held their regular scheduled meeting on Monday, March 17th. Mayor Paul Hicks started off the meeting on a somber note. During the meeting, one of the first items to be passed was a resolution to adopt the assessments for the 2014 Neighborhood Infrastructure Improvements Project. City Engineer, Nick Egger, started by going over the breakdown of the funding. He follwed by clarifying what abetment is. Council Member Dana Elling Schultz, was curious how people in the project area would be informed of the abetment option (see audio clip).
