2 Suspected Cases of Enterovirus D-68 in Hastings Schools

On Wednesday, September 17th, Independant School District 200 sent out an email to families of students informing them that there are 2 students out sick suspected of having Enterovirus D-68. One of the students attends Kennedy Elementary School, and the other attends Pinecrest Elementary. There are over 100 types of enteroviruses, and the main sypmtoms of this illness are like having a cold, but with increased difficulty in breathing. Doug Schultz, a spokesman from the Minnesota Department of Health, has more information about how to help protect your family from catching it.
