The ribbon cutting for the Kwik Trip store was attended by several members of the Hastings business community on Wednesday morning. Members of the Ambassadors of the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Paul Hicks and owners LaVonne and Don Zietlow. Community business supporters were also on hand including Chief Bryan Schafer and Hastings Family Service Executive Director Chris Koop, who each received a $500 community service check from manager Derrick Struve on behalf of the LaCrosse, Wisconsin-based company that will employ approximately 40 people at the new store on Vermillion Street.
