One of our recent In-Depth programs featured a favorite guest, wildlife photographer Paul Runze. We’ve talked to him on KDWA on several occasions when he has shared his stories of far away places. His camera has provided thousands of beautiful images that he describes to our listeners. Paul is a strong advocate for preservation of the world’s wildlife, and recently, his photos have made national news as he released some of the last known images of Cecil the lion who was killed by a trophy hunter. Several news organizations have asked him for his recollections of coming face to face with Cecil when he was on safari in Zimbabwe. In a segment from one of our shows, Paul described his experience with the presence of poachers.
