Beam Signing at Prescott High School

Prescott School District invites the public to participate in a “Beam Signing” Ceremony on Friday, September 11th at the current High School on St. Croix Street. Following a short program at 9:00am, a beam from the new high school will be available for the community to sign. The beam will remain at the current high school until 1:00pm that afternoon to allow individuals to stop by and sign the beam. The beam will then be transported back to the construction site to be installed into the new building. The morning program will include a few words of welcome from high school principal Dave Vortherms, board chair Mark Helmer and mayor David Hovel along with updates, and music from the high school band. The event will occur regardless of weather, with events moving into the high school gym if it rains. Questions about the event can be directed to the Superintendents office at 715-262-5782.
