The 2nd annual Barrels and Bacon celebration will take place on Saturday, October 17th in the greenspace area next to Ptacek’s IGA Grocery in Prescott. One of the coordinators, Pat Ptacek gave us a rundown of the event.
Another feature of the day will be a rib competition, which will have 22 teams placing their cooking skills on the line with audience tasters providing votes to determine the winner of a pretty sweet prize.
Ptacek’s will remain open for regular shopping, with parking for those patrons available in the regular parking lot. Those attending Barrels and Bacon, will be directed to the huge UNFI parking lot with additional space at the former store located across Hwy 10. In addition, the event will benefit 2 local groups, Ptacek shares that information.
There are several ways to get the 30 dollar regular admission ticket and they also offer a designated driver discount ticket.
