City Employee Updates

In Hastings City employee news: the City has made a conditional offer for its Recreation Programming Specialist position in the Parks & Recreation Department. This position will provide administrative support as well as develop and coordinate programming for the new Rotary Pavilion and other Parks facilities. The candidate pool for the city’s final fulltime Firefighter/Paramedic has been narrowed to three. Police Investigators are in the process of completing comprehensive background checks and we expect to make a hiring decision soon. And congratulations are in order for Hastings Police Sgt. Bryan Schowalter, who graduated from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Management Program on October 1st.
