Prescott School Levy Nears

On In Depth, Superintendent of Prescott Schools Dr. Rick Spicuzza and School board Chair Mark Helmer discuss the upcoming levy vote, one that will ask the community to raise the state imposed cap on spending for the next four years in their district. When asked the difference between a bond and a levy, Dr. Spicuzza explained that because the state had essentially frozen funding increases for school districts, there is a widening disparity between costs and resources. Bonding is for building, but a levy addresses operating costs. You can hear the entire InDepth discussion about the upcoming levy only on KDWA.com.
