Street Work Continues

In an update to Riverfront Renaissance Phase 3 construction: Construction has started on the bumpouts with curbing being poured on Tuesday and the flat concrete within each bumpout being steadily filled in since. The old red decorative concrete was removed from the boulevards west of Sibley Street on 2nd, as well as on parts of Sibley Street north of 2nd Street. Electrical conduit replacements for the lighting system and auxiliary power receptacles were installed in the boulevard on the south side of 2nd Street. Excavation took place at a few of the boulevard replacement tree sites. Spot curbing replacements were poured west of Sibley Street on 2nd. And work began on modifying the two existing bumpouts on 2nd Street nearest to the Bridge. The City and Contractor make time at the beginning of their construction scheduling meeting every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. to hear questions and concerns from local building and business owners.
