LOOP Bus Debut

The debut and ribbon cutting ceremony took place for the new Loop Circulator Bus that will take to the streets in Hastings beginning on Tuesday, September 6th at 9AM. DARTs President Ann Bailey and Director of Transportation Courtney Whited joined a bevy of dignataries to unveil this new mode of transport. Creating Connections is the montra espoused by DARTS and the Hastings bus will make the estimated one hour loop to connect travelers with shopping, medical appointments, residential bases and entertainment locations peppering the route. Open to all, the organization committee expects high usage by the senior community, but for a five dollar fee, everyone can take advantage of the circulating bus that intends to make a start in connecting the community in a brand new way. Schedules will be available at the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce 314 Vermillion St., and also at City Hall. A version will be posted online as well at the City Website.
