New Clinic Seeks City Approval

Allina Health wants to begin construction soon on the new 50,000 square foot clinic building that will occupy a space just west of the current WalMart in a field that most recently grew soybeans. The parcel of land was annexed into the city limits from Ninninger Township early this year and will expand the boundaries due to the sale from Conzemius Dairy to the West. A new road , Dakota Summit Drive will connect Hwy 55 with 4th Street and divide the massive WalMart parking lot with the proposed massively sized clinic lot. During the Hastings Planning commission, much discussion centered on the proposed parking area, totaling 346 spaces, deemed necessary as explained by Mortensen builder’s representative, Jeremy Jacobs
