Candidate Forum At City Hall

Thursday’s Candidate forum that was held in council chambers of the Hastings City Hall was an opportunity to hear questions posed to each candidate on topics ranging from economic development to strengths each will bring to their office. Wards 1 thru 4 will be on the ballot in November with only one of those races without an incumbant. These local seats and those for State Representative and Senate look to balance experience and new energies and ideas to serve their respective constituents. KDWA will replay each of these segments beginning this weekend, October 22nd and 23rd. Ward 1 Race features Tina Folch and Bryan Alpaugh, Ward 2, Joe Balsanek and Adam Estenson, Ward 3 Tony Nelson and Lisa Leifeld, Ward 4 Danna Elling Schultz and Trevor Lund and State Representative candidates Don Slaten and Tony Jergens and Senate candidates Leilanni Holmstadt and Dan Shoen.
The event was attended by several who came to hear what those seeking office had to say. Before the forum began,Chamber of Commerce president Kristie Barse shared what she hoped to hear.
