Sneak Peak At BreakAway Arts Cafe

An exclusive sneak peek inside the soon to be opened BreakAway Arts Cafe on Wednesday. Owner Mecca Page was exuberant, but admittedly weary from serving as the project’s general contractor that has transformed the former bank, then chamber building into a polished, sophisticated, artfilled space where coffee, desserts, lunches and dinners will be available to an awaiting public. The nearly two year process began with the arts instruction model firmly in place in the lower level, and the new eatery on the street level completing the vision imagined by the local artist turned restaurant owner. With wondrous glass sculptures created by Pauly Cudd, intricate detailing and decor featuring some of the recent work of Watercolor artist Michael Daly, attention has certainly been paid to making a grand statement at the corner of 3rd and Vermillion.
