Early Wednesday morning McAuliffe Elementary School was locked down due to a police matter occurring at a neighboring residence. KDWA spoke with ISD 200 Program Coordinator, Deana Werner, regarding the lockdown.
As Werner stated, there was no direct threat to any students or staff at the school. Classes resumed as normal once the police matter was concluded.
