The Hastings Fire Department responded to a fire Thursday morning on Oxley Avenue near State Road 316, south of Hastings. The incident involved fire fighters from Hastings and Miesville, according to eyewitness reports. KDWA spoke with Hastings Fire Marshall John Townsend for a recap of the event.
Damages have not been estimated at this time. It brings the count to two red bulbs that have now replaced white ones signifying 2 preventable fires have happened since the beginning of the holiday season. The wreath is mounted on the east wall of the Hastings Fire Department from Thanksgiving until New Years Day.
