From Coach to Congress

When athletes train, they usually have at least one goal in mind. On Wednesday, the Head Football coach for Rosemount High School teacher Jeff Erdmann made it official that his goal in 2018 is to run as the Democratic candidate against the current 2nd District Congressman, Jason Lewis. In his bid to go from classroom to Capitol Hill, Erdmann states that he has taught American Government for 27 years and feels qualified to take on the challenge of mounting a campaign whose focus will be working Americans, rural issues and uniting instead of dividing people. Erdmann also announced his intention of listening to those he seeks to represent and to be available to hear all points of view. Jason Lewis is in the middle of his first term representing the 2nd district and has announced he will seek re-election in 2018.
