Work is being completed in the summerlong Neighborhood Improvement project which replaced utilities and upgraded century old infrastructure just west of Vermillion streets in the neighborhoods from Ashland to Pine Streets including 5th through 10th streets. Sewer, water service, and electrical upgrading and lining kept Public works crews busy for weeks, moving from one area to the next while still providing access to residents in the impact zone. The project should be fully completed in the next few weeks with phase two set to be part of the construction season of 2018.
