A crash on Highway 61 at 220th Street on Monday has injured 4 people. According to the State Patrol Crash website, at approximately 4 PM, a Honda driven by 26-year-old Cannon Falls resident Joseph Charles Strickland, was southbound on Hwy 61 near 220th Street, and clocked by a northbound Dakota County Deputy at 86 mph in a 60 mph zone. The Deputy made a U-turn to attempt to stop the Honda. The Honda then tried to pass a semi tractor/trailer combination and passenger car. The Honda was met by another northbound vehicle at the top of a hill. Strickland swerved back into the southbound lanes at high speeds and rolled multiple times in the ditch. Strickland, and three passengers, including 20-year-old Hastings resident Ryan Michael Lundsted, were injured in the crash, with one 17-year-old juvenile’s injuries listed as life-threatening.
