On Monday evening, the Hastings City Council deliberated a resolution to allow temporary changes to city code to help local businesses reestablish customer flow and marketing opportunities in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. Community Development Director John Hinzman laid out some of the key aspects of the request.
After discussion of the request to include city liability for public spaces, clarification of parklets, and public consumption of alcohol, the request passed by unanimous vote.
