An early morning fire at a local farm on Thursday brought units from the Miesville, Cannon Falls, and Randolph Fire Departments to the Jeff Peine farm, north of Cannon Falls. According to published reports, no injuries were reported, but multiple explosions were said to be audible from miles away. Witness reports indicate heavy tanker truck traffic back and forth to the farm, due to a lack of operative hydrants in the area. The fire is still under investigation.
