The Hastings Police Department reports that a downtown business was the target of a recent overnight breakin. According to the Hastings Police blotter, on July 31st, at approximately 1:10 AM, officers responded to the 100 block of 2nd Street East for a burglary in progress. The report indicates that suspects forced entry into a business and stole an ATM machine. The report does not indicate any suspects or persons of interest, and the case is still under investigation.
