It’s the premier matchup of the Minnesota Baseball Association across the state tonight, as the two-time reigning class A state champion Miesville Mudhens put their #1 ranking on the line tonight against the #2 St. Paul Mudhens. The most recent rankings saw St. Paul rise from #4 to #2 after winning 7 of their last eight games and sit atop the Section 6 rankings. The Mudhens have lost just one game since June 3rd, on July 4th with a shorthanded roster, and Nick Gerhardt, writer for the Minnesota baseball association who helps compile the rankings from across the state talked with KDWA about the process and how Miesville looks as they try to win their third straight state title in part one of a two-part interview.
Hear the game broadcast tonight live from Jack Ruhr Field on AM 1460 and FM 97.7 KDWA and the KDWA YouTube stream. Pregame coverage with Matt Leifeld on the call begins at 7:45pm, with first pitch at 8pm.
