On Thursday, June 12th, Extreme Sandbox will be hosting an Open House and Ribbon Cutting for their new facility in Hastings. Extereme Sandbox opened in April of 2012, and are the only heavy equipment adventure company in the mid-west. They consider themselves to be a “big kids playground”, where people age 14 and older can play around with heavy equipment like excavators, bulldozers, skid-seers, and even a fire truck. The company started off small, working out of a construction trailer. Business was good and last Novemeber, the company broke ground on a new 6300 sq. ft. facility. The new facility will serve as a place to store their equipment, as well as a meetings and event center. Randy Stenger, Owner and Creative Genius of Extreme Sandbox, talks about the Open House.
