On Monday, June 2nd, Ian Martin filed with the City of Hastings to become a candidate for the open At Large seats on Hastings City Council. This makes a total of 6 candidates running for the position. Martin was born and raised in Hastings, works as a police officer in the Twin Cities, has a bachelor of science degree from Metropolitan State University, and is currently serving on the Hastings Heritage Preservation Commission.
