Two Hastings Seniors Awarded Discovery Scholarships

Two Hastings High School seniors, Mark Huneke and Brendan McCabe, were recently awarded Discovery Scholarships from Flint Hills Resources. They are 2 of 26 students from 13 schools in Dakota and Washington counties to receive a $2,500 scholarship for the 2014-2015 school year. They were chosen based on demonstrated leadership, entrepreneurial skills, and academic performance. Flint Hills Resources began it’s Discovery Scholarship Program back in 1992 and to this date has awarded nearly $700,000 in scholarships.
