On Tuesday, July 29, Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend refinery had a celebration for it’s 2,400 contract employees, for helping the refinery to become the first ever PRO-10 certified worksite. To become a PRO-10 certified worksite, at least 75 percent of a companys contracted construction workers must complete the education course within the first year of implementing the program. The course consists of 10-hours of professional development tailored for the construction and building trades with a focus on communications, customer relations, diversity, and safety classes.
