Even though the water trucks have been out and about over the past week or so, the Hastings Area Outdoor Skating Rinks are still not open, and may not be open for some time. A frigid November, followed by an up-and-down December weather pattern, has put Hastings Parks and Recreation behind an early flooding eight ball. Sports and Recreation Coordinator Phil Vargas joined KDWA Sports on Tuesday for an update.
