Just in time for the New Year, Winter part TWO has arrived with snow and frigid temperatures. In light of the recent snowfalls, the City of Hastings is reminding residents that there is a new method available to announce the start of snow emergencies and it is as close as your phone. The Nixle system was implemented this fall and sends text messages, emails or a phone call reminder to your registered phone once a snow emergency has been declared in the city of Hastings.
