Friday afternoon, the Hastings High School Athletic Department announced that former Hastings Raider Player, and Assistant Coach, Adam Welch, has been selected as the fifth-ever Hastings Raiders Head Varsity Boys Hockey Coach. He succeeds his Uncle, Russ, who coached in Hastings for the last 21 years. Coach Welch played junior hockey in Wichita Falls, before a wonderful four-year career at Ferris State University, and then playing two years of minor league professional hockey thereafter. Coach Adam Welch will join KDWA Sports early next week!
