The 28th annual Edina Realty Easter Egg Event was held last Saturday at Roadside Park. KDWA’s Kelly Casey was there, and first she went to one of the coordinators, Sandy Becker, who filled us in on what to expect.
Before the horn sounded to start the hunt, we talked with several kids lined up along the west end of the park, many dressed in Easter outfits with shiny shoes and dapper looking hats. Other children were outfitted in their self described fastest running shoes to guarantee success in the mad dash for the colorfully wrapped candy strewn all over the lawn. Some came as teams and we asked Adam who he chose to pair up with.
Our questions for everyone was just what they hoped to put in their baskets..chocolate or jelly beans?
After all the treasure had been found, we checked back with kids dividing up their bounty. We asked this youngster if she had to share any of her candy with others.
