A motion passed by the Hastings City Council will give the name Hastings Riverwalk to the area being revitalized by the Riverfront Renaissance from the CP rail bridge to the Lock and Dam. In a close vote, an amendment was added to the motion changing the name of Levee Park to Riverfront Crossings. Mayor Paul Hicks proposed the amendment.
Councilmember Joe Balsanek was among those opposing the amendment.
