The Hastings Public Works Department has started replacing rusted-out and dilapidated street light poles along Highways 61 and 55. They plan to replace seven poles, primarily along Highway 61. They will likely be taking down a couple poles on any given day, while their replacements are prepared for installation at the Public Works shop and then brought out on subsequent days for reinstallation.
