Many hands make light work. Thanks to members of the community and the National Association of Letter Carriers, rural letter carriers, postal employees and other volunteers contributed to another successful “Stamp Out Hunger” day for Hastings Family Service. When all was said and done, the final total was 8,525 pounds that will benefit the local foodshelf. “Over 4 tons of food is a testament to this community, where neighbors help neighbors,” stated Mary Kocak, Food Shelf Director at Hastings Family Service. “This is the largest annual food drive for HFS and we greatly appreciate the coordination and hard work that the letter carriers put into this national food drive,” Kocak remarked. “Thank you for helping HFS feed hungry families!”
