BreakAway Offers Sponsorships

A new Hastings business has announced a unique opportunity for some budding artists. BreakAway Arts owner, Mecca (Manz) Page, recently revealed that the founding members of this creative space will begin providing sponsorships to students who are serious about pursuing their art. The 60 members of the group have joined to address what they feel is a reduction in a variety of art classes and opportunities for young students to expand their talents. Students can apply for the sponsorships by filling out the form, found online at www.breakawayarts.com or they can pick up an application at the 111 East 3rd street location. Applicants must submit 3 digital images of their artwork with the request. There will be an open house on Saturday, October 3rd from 10:00am until 3:00pm for those interested to find out more. The application deadline is October 17th.
