CCARL Meeting in Hampton

Thursday night’s meeting of CCARL, which stands for Citizens Concerned About Rail Line will take place at the Hampton City Hall. The meeting is part of an effort for those who may be impacted by a proposed high speed zip line train to have some method of expressing their opinions. One of the group’s co-founders, Heather Arndt, spoke to KDWA before the meeting with more information on just who these citizens are.

The corridors Arndt refers to is alongside Highway 52 and Highway 56 near and including the town of Hampton.

The high speed train would also change the traffic patterns and take land that is part of the rural economy.

The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 PM tonight at the Hampton City Hall and Arndt wants citizens to be proactive.
