Get a chance to see Falcons, Hawks, Eagles and other birds of prey up close when they are released back into the wild. Jennifer Vieth, Executive Director of St. Croix Valley Carpenter Nature Center, says this annual celebration of rehabilitated wildlife is a very popular event.
This year’s release coincides with National Public Lands Day. Visitors can experience activities about monarch butterflies, reptiles and other wildlife, take a hay ride, taste apples and eat a brat cooked by the Hastings Lions Club. And don’t forget to bring in your used ink-jet printer cartridges for donation to the Raptor Center’s Recycling for Raptors program.
