Charges have now been filed in the death of Douglas L. Bailey. Rose Marie Kuehni, age 44, who lived with Bailey at the time of his disappearance has been charged with one count of First Degree Intentional Homicide. Chief Krutke provides details on what led to the search for Bailey

Kuehni said she acted alone in concealing and moving the body before
Kuehni also told investigators that the shooting was the result of a history of physical abuse. We asked Chief Krutke if the couple was known to Prescott police with referrence to those allegations
According to court records Clarence Hicks, a resident of Harrodsberg, Kentucky, allegedly transported the boxes containing Bailey’s body from a meeting with Kuehni in Illinois to Kentucky, although Kuehni has told police, Hicks was not aware what was contained inside the boxes given to him. According to the statement, Hicks had met Kuehni in Mankato and they had an ongoing physical relationship. Hicks told investigators he took the boxes to an isolated area where he slid the boxes out the vehicle and over the side of a steep embankment.
Kuehni is currently held on $100,000 bail with the next court appearance set for December 18th in Pierce County.
