At Tuesday nights City Council meeting the pilot program for Hastings Police to implement body cameras was discussed by Chief Bryan Schafer. The program took a great deal of preparation and Shafer first explains the main purpose for the program
The preparation for this program was over 2 years in development. Chief Schafer explains the numbers that support use of body cameras.
Security is a top concern with the data captured on these cameras. Schafer discussed some of the safeguards.
