During the Veteran’s Empowerment event held Thursday night at the Hastings American Legion, a honor was presented to the City of Hastings by members of the ESGR, which stands for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. Master of Ceremonies Councilman Tony Alongi joined fellow City Councilmen Mark Vaughan and Joe Balsanek to receive the award. Paul Monteen, Director of Employer Outreach outlined the meaning of the acknowledgement.
