FarmingtonSchoolsLeaseRooftops

As spring brings longer days and winter weary residents feel the power of the sun ,the Farmington School District has announced they will place solar arrays on most buildings in their district. This arrangement will lease the rooftops to Kenyon Energy both to save the district energy costs and to add to it’s income side of the balance sheet. The deal will also generate a savings to the district energy budget that will grow incrementally over the next 10 years. The solar arrays will be place on the school rooftops this summer during a resurfacing project, and will begin generating up to a possible 3 megawatts of power when all of the arrays have been installed. The district is looking toward the future and seeing some definite brightening on the horizon.
