Park Principal Gives Notice

The current principal of Park High School has decided to leave his position at the end of the school year effective July 1st. Kerry Timmerman informed the school board of his plan to relocate his wife and two young children to China where he will teach at the American International School of Guangzhou. Timmerman was an assistant principal at Farmington High School when he was hired as the Park principal in 2012. Before that, Timmerman also had worked as an administrator and social studies teacher in the International Baccalaureate program at Harding High School in St. Paul. His education experience in England, however, gave him a chance to teach abroad, one that he feels is a good opportunity for him at this time. The district will conduct a search for the next administrator and present that choice this summer.
