A new business is coming to downtown Hastings , bringing their Eat, Drink, Play brand to the former RJ’s Tavern location on East 2nd Street. After rumors began circulating earlier this spring, confirmation was made Wednesday that another location of the Fireside Restaurant franchise will open their doors in Mid June. This new endeavor will add to the pair of establishments in the line, the Fireside Bar and Restaurant in Rosemount and the Fireside Foundry in Richfield. Harrison Cherney, Operations manager for the Hastings Fireside Social House told KDWA that they will focus on a welcoming environment, with a menu that will include specialty and flatbread pizzas, craft beers and appetizers and a game room with pool tables and the popular Golden Touch interactive e-games. Both sides of the groundfloor space will be used for dining and social space while the upstairs, according to Cherney, will likely be reserved for larger groups and private events.
