It was reported last week by city administrator Melanie Mesko Lee that the investigation conducted on an incident involving Fire Chief Mike Schutt,is complete, but that the final decision has not been rendered on action that could be taken as a result. A brief comment was provided by Mayor Hicks when pressed to explain the reason for more than 30 days of time since the chief was placed on paid administrative leave.
The comments and those of Mesko Lee, have not added any new information, and requests made for comment from Schutt have been declined. Should the outcome have discipline rendered, it is also possible no comments would ever be made, as none would be mandated should that occur.
