Hastings Prepares for Election Day

Absentee voting ballots are currently being accepted this week before the Tuesday, November 7th Election Day. A complete listing of election day precint poling places can be found on the KDWA.com website. Polling site will open at 7am and close at 8 PM. Anyone in line at 8 pm will be allowed to vote. School board candidates and school levy and bond questions will appear on the ballot. Some of the voting places in Hastings include Hastings City Hall for Ward 1, Precinct 2 and the former KC Hall for Ward 4 Precinct 2. Townships which previously hosted off year and school board elections are now compiled into one polling place, Tilden Community Center, 310 Pine Street. Questions about polling in any community and any state can be found at www. vote.org.
Ward 1, Precinct 2-Hastings City Hall – 101 4th Street E; Ward 1 Precinct 3- Hope Lutheran Church – 16898 Michael Ave; Ward Precinct 1- St. Johns Lutheran Church – 202 8 St W; Ward 2, Precinct 2- Our Saviours Lutheran Church – 400 9 St W; Ward 3, Precinct 1- Cavalry Christian Church – 907 15 St W; Ward 3, Precinct 2-United Methodist Church – 615 15 St W; Ward 4, Precinct 1- St Philips Lutheran Church – 1401 15 St W; Ward 4, Precinct 2 Knights of Columbus Hall – 3075 Vermillion Street.
