BREAKING NEWS- In news breaking on Monday afternoon, several employees of the Hastings Target confirmed on social media sites that the store would close on February 3rd, of next year. According to several sources, a store meeting was convened to make the announcement, but no indications yet on the number of local employees that this will impact. Calls made to the home office of the Minnesota based Target corporation have not been returned as of this broadcast. KDWA will have more information as soon as it is known .In the span of just 2 hours more than 500 local social media signatures were affixed to a petition asking that the corporation recind its decision to close the location. Again in breaking news Monday, November 6th, indications are that the Target Store, located in Hastings will close in February. A comment has also been requested from the Hastings Business community.
