High Water Threatens Boater Safety

As the river continues to rise, Hastings Fire Chief Mike Schutt provided a message about safety concerns due to the high water and swift currents.

Chief Schutt notes that even after the crest it will take more time for the current to remove debris that can damage and endager watercraft operators. Personal floatation devices should always be worn when in watercraft of any size.
