BTYR Hastings Receives Needed Assistance

Beyond the Yellow Ribbon (BTYR) of Cottage Grove and surrounding areas has recently added new leadership and has expanded services to support Hastings military service members and veterans. This network works with veterans and service members in need and collaborates with a person or community organization that is both willing and able to help. According to a press release from BTYR Cottage Grove, the BTYR of Hastings has been transitioning since long-time representative and veteran, Dean Markuson, retired from BTYR of Hastings this spring. The regional BTYR representative along with BTYR of Hastings stakeholders have been discussing the needs in the Hastings area. During this interim, BTYR of Cottage Grove is pleased to provide support to the Hastings military service members, veterans, and their families. The BTYR of Cottage Grove will also serve as fiscal agent of BTYR of Hastings, which was previously conducted by the United Way of Hastings. BTYR invites you to attend their next meeting on November 21, at 6 PM at the Cottage Grove Armory. Entry is via the doors nearest the picnic table at the back of the building by the playground.
