Developers of the Confluence complex in the former Hudson Sprayer building in Hastings have announced a partnership with Madison-based IDM Hospitality to operate the hotel portion of the development. According to an article on the Rivertowns Media website, the space is set for a late 2020 opening after almost nine years of development. While IDM Hospitality will manage the planned 69-room hotel, it is undetermined if they will manage the food-and-beverage portion of the business. IDM has prior experience running hotels and restaurants, but for now, the agreement is just for the hotel. In all, along with the hotel, Confluence will feature 20 apartment units, a 250-seat banquet facility, a restaurant space, and other improvements.
