The City of Hastings has received two bids from contractors on September 25th for construction and implementation of permanent water chlorination equipment for the City’s water supply system. According to information published on the City website, Minnesota Mechanical Solutions, of Waite Park, has submitted a base bid of $477,880, with alternate bids of $19,200, and $36,300, and Magney Construction, of Chanhassen submitted a base bid of $578,400, with alternate bids of $35,000, and $81,800. City staff is currently reviewing the bids for accuracy and completeness. The City is tentatively set to consider the awarding of a contract at the City Council’s regular meeting on October 7th.
